These are some of the questions that we get asked most, if you have any other questions please feel free to get in touch.
 
Q: How soon can a cleaner start?
A: We aim to get you a cleaner by the end of the following week, depending on your requirements & which day of the week you need the cleaner to come. Although it is often possible for a cleaner to start at fairly short notice.

Q: How many hours do I need to have?
A: The number of hours that you book a cleaner for to clean your home or office is entirely at your discretion (minimum 2 hours). However, please bear the following:
 
The length of time it will take to clean your property depends on its size, how much there is to be cleaned, etc. As a rough guide a 1 or 2 bedroom property can usually be cleaned in 2 hours.  Whereas a 3 bedroom property will usually take 3 hours (if you only wish to have 2 hours, some rooms will need to be cleaned on rotation). If you have a larger property of 4 bedrooms + as a general rule add 1 hour per bedroom (due to the extra space, toilets, showers etc).
 
We also offer ironing, for which you would need to have extra time or rooms cleaned on rotation.

Q: Can I have a cleaner once a fortnight?
A: Normally our cleaners prefer to work on a weekly basis, however it may be possible to provide a fornightly clean. Any less frequently than this, e.g. once a month, will be counted as a one off clean.

Q: Will the cleaner come on the same day each week?
A: Yes they will, but if you need to change your regular day you should speak to your cleaner to make sure they are available on that day & also let us know of any changes.

Q: How is the cleaner paid?
A: You the client pay the cleaner £7 per hour, in cash on the day they clean. For Spring Cleans, we will pay the cleaner(s) on your behalf from the cash payment given to us.

Q: Does the same cleaner come every week?
A: As long as you are happy with the cleaner we send you, they will be with you every week. A replacement cleaner is only used if your regular cleaner is sick, on holiday, leaves the agency, or you become dissatisfied with them.

Q: What should I do if the cleaner fails to turn up?
A: If the cleaner is going to be late or sick they should let you know. But if they don’t, phone us straight away and we will try to make alternative arrangements for you.

Q: Are the cleaners insured?
A: Insurance is in place for accidental damage to your property or injury to the cleaner when working in a client’s home. Please note the insurance is subject to £250 excess, so it is not for small breakages.

Q: How do you check your cleaners are honest and reliable?
A:  When the candidate first phones us, we inform them they will need a criminal records check. We consider this to be very important, but many of our competitors do not require their cleaners to be CRB (police) checked. Further to this appointments are made with satisfactory candidates to interview them in their own homes, this is an extra way of proving address. 
 
When being interviewed, the candidate must provide the addresses of work references, proof of ID (passport, driving license or birth certificate) and proof of address (an original document, such as a utility bill, or bank statement). The references are always checked.

Q: Will the cleaners do ironing?
A: Most of our cleaners are happy to do ironing. This is something you should state that you need when you order your cleaner. 

Q: Will my cleaner come at the weekend?
A: No. Our working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm & the office is closed outside of  these hours.

Q: Who provides the cleaning materials?
A: For weekly cleans, you will need to provide the cleaning products. For spring cleans these will be provided by us.

Q: What if I am away on holiday etc?
A: If you go away on holiday etc & do not require a cleaner, please inform your cleaner of this. The agency fees will still be payable for this period. Alternatively you can request your cleaner to clean the things that there is not normally time for on a weekly clean (e.g. inside cupboards / fridge, windows, etc).

Q: Will my pets need to be secured?
A: It depends on the cleaner. They will discuss with you whether they are happy to work around your pets, at the time they phone to introduce themselves.
Q: How can I have a cleaner on an ad-hoc basis?
A: No, our cleaners days tend to get fairly full so they need their cleaning jobs to be at the same time every week. Also even if we did not always send the same cleaner, there would be no guarantee that someone would be available. If having a clean at a regular time is not convenient for you, it may be more suitable to have a spring clean every so often (please be aware that these are charged at a higher rate though)

Q: I don't live in Southampton or Eastleigh - can I still have a cleaner?
A: If you live slightly further afield (for example, Romsey or Winchester) we will probably be able to provide you with a weekly clean, but you would need to have a minimum of 4 hours due to the longer distance for our cleaners to travel. Alternatively if you have any nearby friends or relatives who require cleaning, it would be acceptable if the total number of hours was 4 or more (assuming the cleans were consecutive).
